The
2007 Texas Gulf Bank/JA
"Who’s Who” Golf Classic Winners

Infinity - 1st Morning Flight
JV Industrial-1st Afternoon Flight
The 17th annual Junior Achievement Who’s Who
Golf Classic sponsored by Texas Gulf Bank was held at the Wilderness in
June. This year’s tournament co-chaired by Jim Heath of Gulf States, Inc.
and Tom Rich of ConocoPhillips was the most successful tournament in JA
history bringing in over $56,000. Proceeds of the event will go along way
in providing organizational support for the more than 9,000 area students
participating in Junior Achievement programs annually. The
original goal of Junior Achievement is to help students to understand
business and appreciate free enterprise, while promoting entrepreneurship,
economic self-determination and workplace skills to play an active role in
our increasingly global economy. The programs are designed to “fit into” the
existing school curricula and add to its learning experience. Young people
will receive the skills they need to succeed in a business environment once
they enter the workforce and personal financial skills necessary to become a
self-supporting adult.
